the 125 division is just so shallow.
the 125 division is just so shallow.
zingano/rousey being rumored for ufc 182... which is headlined by jones/cormier. i was actually expecting them to put rousey on the super bowl card, underneath silva/diaz... wouldnt be shocked if that still happens, but 181 and 182 are both shaping up to be insane if they stick with it for 181.
and dana said dominick cruz is next in line for dillashaw. i imagine it wont take long for either fighter to turn around... dillashaw didnt get a medical suspension after the soto fight, and im pretty sure cruz wasnt even touched last night. maybe that gets the 2nd super bowl spot?
it really is. its a 3 man division... with the champ having already beat the other 2 guys. at least the heavyweight division has some guys who are entertaining for main card fights... theres really nobody else at 125 that i get excited to watch other than those 3 and ian mccall.
good morning card. wilkinson knocking out backstrom was unexpected. main event was fun... i had it 48-47 story.
the judges cards were all over the place for the main event. 48-47 for nelson, 49-46 for story and 50-44 for story. im assuming round 4 was the 10-8 round for story, he just about knocked him out, but nelson hung on.

i guess its fitting that a card based out of canada featured one clinch after another.
its only through 2 rounds, and rory is already looking for the decision. who decided to put him in a 5 round fight [joe silva], he hasnt been in an entertaining 3 round fight since the condit fight.
til now. nice ko rory. tristar gym finally produced a finish!
robert whittaker/clint hester... worth finding a replay. awesome fight.
i'm enjoying all the finishes. Great striking by whittaker, kids got a future.
i didnt wanna jinx it mentioning the lack of decisions. im sure rockhold/bisping will provide it for us though.
an entire card of finishes. awesome. whens the last time you remember that? i cant think of one off hand. i gave bisping way too much credit, i didnt think hed win, but i thought hed drag a decision out of rockhold. so much for that.
even the main event delivered a finish. Good card.
I think Bisping is pretty much a gate keeper at this point, Rockhold might be an interesting challenger, but I can see him not do well if he gets a shot.
yep, thats exactly what bisping is. hes a name you can add to a card to get some buzz generated around his name, but that should be his last main event. he can do co-mains in england, or 2nd or 3rd fights on american ppvs, but thats about it.
i like rockhold, but agreed, i dont think he does much against the upper guys in this division. belfort already dispatched of him fairly easy. rockholds game is his striking, and machidas a better striker. and jacare's my guy, so im biased in that regard already. rockholds ranking is right where it'll stay... i think he could finish romero, and i dont think he could beat anybody above him.
didnt expect osp to knock him out in 30 seconds. poor shoguns chin is gone. might be time to call it a day for him.
