i would say so. depending on when the next nxt takeover is... i could see a blowoff match with roddy strong at that, followed by him heading to the main roster somewhere, preferably smackdown.

They seemingly just stripped Corbin from championship plans. Meanwhile Roode has history in nXt with Nakamura.

I love Drew Gulak matches just for the crowd interactions.

I like how he still gets mad even when they chant "Power point!"

And then they chant "No chants! No chants! No chants!"

i was fine with almas winning the belt too. they did a really solid job in rebuilding him back up since they paired vega with him. and before the arm injury, it was pretty damn clear that mcintyre shouldve been on the main roster. unfortunately, im back on the belief that no one should ever want a promotion... nakamuras been underwhelming on the main roster, but more importantly, how do you destroy all the momentum bobby roode had built up? horrible. who wouldve expected that out of the last 4 nxt champs to get called up, that joe is the only one booked with any type of positive direction.

i enjoyed war games overall... much more than survivor series, but its not much of a surprise that the takeovers are better than the main roster ppvs at this point. black/dream was marvelous, almas/drew was really solid, and war games was a chaotic clusterfuck in a good way.

I like Almas winning too. I just wanted to call him “Alfredo Singing Llamas” because a guy at work did and I thought it was funny.

Because Vince is still in charge and as long as Bucky Beaver (Kevin Dunn) still has an important role you can bet it won't get any better. It's as simple as that.

I think Ohno/Lars was the only match for nXt I didn't care for, but I recognize it did it's job. Black/Dream and Drew/Almas both had me on the edge of my seat

Enzo has been the best thing to happen to Gulak. Not so much for the other heels so far but those two have been gold together

i finally got a chance to watch it myself. knowing the spoilers, im very rarely in a rush to watch nxt... but that was a match i was very intrigued to see how they pulled it off. and they did a nice job with it. they kept lars and dain strong, but not invincible... they let black and gargano do most of the heavy lifting with the two huge dain spots. and gargano was the right choice for the winner. the crowd loves him, and the disappointment when ciampa costs him the belt against almas... should lead to a war between gargano/ciampa at the wm takeover.

and maybe... black gets his cole blowoff at this upcoming takeover, and then getting sent to the main roster in time for a wrestlemania storyline? theres really not much more he needs to do at nxt...
