They basically gave away the result of the Survivor Series match by adding an "obvious-what-they're-going-for" stipulation to who wins.

Why don't they skip the bs. Cena and Orton vs authority because you know anyone else is just fodder to get beat like a rug. Save Ziggler et all for a match where they're more than just guys to get beat for the super twins to overcome the odds.

I don't mind this angle actually. I just hate how the stipulation effectively gives away the result.

Just my usual ball busting of wwe creative. I pretty much expect Cena and newly face stamped Orton to be the survivors pinning everyone in a miraculous flurry of rkos, fus, and fus into rko. Everyone on Cenas team is made to look like chumps.

Lots of rumors Ascension might be on team authority.

Authority has Rollins, Kane, likely Henry, and they hinted at Rusev. One of them would have to be out to add the Ascension but that would be awesome.

Didn't they only have 1 Survivor Series style match at Survivor Series last year? Is this year going to be the same? Why the fuck even bother? I miss the days when almost every match was a Survivor Series tag match.

That was also back when two or more actual wrestlers who weren't nobodies fighting each other in an actual match was a big enough deal to warrant a PPV because they weren't doing that twice a week on free television.

I like the Survivor Series match for nostalgia's sake but I don't think I can get into an entire card of nothing but that with the dynamics of wrestling today.

i just read rusev won the us title after raw. they can easily put him in a rematch with sheamus at smackdown or on raw, and end that feud. put sheamus with cena, orton and whoever else... get rusev into a us title match against some jobber... and get the ascension into the authority. but of course, that would be interesting. so thats not happening.

by the way, without watching and gaining full context... which is the obvious direction theyre going with the stipulation? you can pm me if youd rather avoid spoilers, but id think everybody who goes to this thread, watches and got the context anyway.

I doubt they go there.

The stipulation is that if Team Authority loses then HHH and Steph are no longer in charge. I'm calling it a giveaway of the result because I think it's making it obvious they're ending the "Authority" angle.....but it wouldn't be the first time I was wrong about what I thought was "obvious". I didn't think John Lauranitis would win both GM positions in that team battle with Teddy either.

If they do go this route, though, it could very well be through a swerve but I doubt Ziggler is the one who turns.

the brief writings i read, most of them seem to think its obvious hhh/steph will keep power through one of the cena teammates turning. ziggler or sheamus seem to be the choices. ill take your word for it over theirs though.

I have no insider knowledge. I'm just speculating and I've been wrong with what I thought was obvious before.

It just seems like the right time to move on and they seemed to make it a point to talk about them losing and what happens if they do.

But who knows, maybe they drag it on another PPV or two while using it to heel turn someone before-hand.
