I love the heel turn, but I wish it was Ambrose that made the turn instead of Rollins.

All well, I can still enjoy it.

Best heel turn since Hogan? I disagree completely.

I have no idea how they're going to explain this in Kayfabe, other than a "Fuck you guys, you don't deserve an explanation."

On the plus side, Rollins doesn't get lost in the shuffle like he would've if they just disbanded the Shield for Wrestlemania. Ambrose is far too good as a face in peril right now(I'm personally shocked, I didn't think he had him it in him) to even consider turning him.

Gotta be a "all I hear about is the other guys, but I'm the one time and again bailing them out" etc., its time for me to shine and my full potential to be seen, yadda yadda.

Best since Hogan is a stretch. Hogan just being Hogan makes it a stretch comparison, and then given the way the angle was presented we didn't need much of an after the fact explanation like we will with Rollins.

And you're right about Ambrose, Witlon.

The explanation will probably go back to when he bailed mid match against the Wyatts along with him being the "architect" but getting none of the credit

havent watched yet, it came off tedious in print though, so im looking forward to getting home and watching. and i guess they got their contingency plan in place with dbryan and the world title, putting it out there that it would be in mitb if he cant go.

    Re: Official WWE Thread

Since it's apparent that it's possible but not definite he comes back I get why they're dragging it out from a booking perspective.

But the way they're doing it makes absolutely no sense. They repeatedly talk about how it's the "right thing" for a champion to abandon the belt if he physically cannot compete, but then continue to paint Stephanie as being in the wrong for demanding that Bryan do it. They even go as far as to have Cena come out and lament on the time he did it and agree that it's the right thing...then berate Stephanie some more for demanding Bryan do it.

And yeah, I get the angle, Bryan's concerned he wouldn't get another shot because of the storyline vendetta, yadda yadda. But if someone truly believed that that is the right thing to do they'd still do it even in spite of the pleasure it'd give their narcisistic boss....because it's still the right thing to do.

And then there's Stephanie's side. If she truly wanted to strip Bryan of the title she doesn't need his permission. Yeah, I know they addressed that in a 5 second blow off of "not wanting to make him a martyr", but if she really wanted him to strip it that badly she'd bite that bullet after Bryan made it painfully obvious multiple times he's not going to hand it over.

I just can't suspend belief of it going down this way, which is a vital part of story-telling in the business for me. I'd rahter they have risked losing some of the heat and gave him little to no mention other than occasional reminders that he's injured and perhaps the Authority laughing about it.

rollins' turn came off much better on tv. helped by the way ambrose sold it, naturally.

bo dallas is an awful wrestler, and the gimmick seems like it will [and is already getting] x-pac heat. hes gonna start getting the fast forward treatment from me, that this 3mb/matadores awfulness already gets.

they must really really hate ziggler if they put del rio in mitb over him.

I actually didn't mind the latest rendition of the Sandow mockery clown show...until the predictiable squash at the end, anyway.

I loved that little God save the queen wave of Batista's. WWE better start working on making the middle of the show better, I almost turned it off a few times before even the Wyatt's vs Usos match (let alone the epic end of the Shield).

I will never understand why WWE is so stubborn to continually push Del Rio. He gets no reaction as a face, none as a heel (since Rodriguez left and they took the cars away from him). Del Rio does nothing to really sell a MITB match but they put him in over Ziggler who can at least give you the Oh Shit moments that make MITB.

Plus now that they announced if DB cannot compete the belt will be on the line... doesn't that give about a dozen people motivation to make sure DB doesn't make it to MITB? Anyone remember the DX vs McMahon's feud where you saw like Chris Masters waiting on them in the bathroom? Any chance they try anything like this just to keep DB "on" tv, even if it's not "in" the ring?

evidently bryan has been told he wont be cleared by the pay per view. im assuming tonight he hands the belts over, and says he'll be back or something equally as hokey as his promos have been... and mitb will be something like del rio, orton, hhh, rollins, kane, reigns, ambrose and cena. unless they do two of them, one for the briefcase... in which case del rio will get put in the brief case version, with wyatt getting added in to the title version.
