Wrestling is fake for sure but, you still need to learn how to hit the mat and learn the moves. Not an easy thing to do. Not to mention all the injuires these guys take.

I agree Punk to RAW was the best move possible. Here is hoping Punk regains the WWE Championship held by Orton.

Punk on RAW will be fine so long as HHH isn't there. He kept squashing Punk when he was on RAW last and DX kept making him look like a chump.

Could he become more if they actually let him use a legitimate finisher? Or would he lose some of the appeal as the comedian of Raw?

I absolutely love Santino, he could give Bobby, Jimmy, and Paul a run for best manager on the mic if they were to use him as such. But 5 of his 7 most used moves are various pinning moves.

I like Santino as well but I hate stupid finishers that are more for showmanship and/or comedic purposes than they are for actually looking devastating.

The entire purpose of a finisher is that it can put an opponent down for the 3 count almost on its own.

Watching someone go down for the 3 count because Santino taps him in the chest with his fingers is just stupid.

That can be argued, killed WCW.

One can make another argument that comedy, or a comedic wrestler is needed, and has a place in wrestling. Santino fills that role quite well at the moment and helps build up his persona with comedic elements in his character.

Also, the notion of suspending belief is an academic principle that scholars have used of years know to explain the rise in popularity in wrestling. That was "us" getting back at our boss when Stone Cold was spraying beer all over Vince.

I'm fine with a comic relief wrestler. There's been a lot of good ones in history such as Doink the Clown and the Disco Inferno for instance. And, as I said, I like Santino in general. But still give him a finisher that actually does something, even if it's only a generic wrestling move that he doesn't use much due to losing a lot of matches.

Don't try and force me to believe that Santino can just tap somebody in the chest with his fingers and the person is down and out. Because if he can I'm forced to wonder why he's not contending for the WWE Championship with such a magically devastating instant-finisher.

It was just as stupid as when it happened in the WCW.

It accelerated the end of WCW as a viable alternative. It cheapened the "most prestigous" title in the company followed up by David Arquette and Vince Russo also adding their names to it. Thats the difference Santino is just a midcarder so you dont really do much with him so the fans arent going to riot about it.

Probably not in today's wrestling. (Same with Jake the Snake's DDT)

But at least they're still something being done to the opponent more than just tapping them in the chest.

On a side note, I always thought The Rock sold the Leg Drop very well.

With all this talk of crappy finishers I wanted to just take a moment to say this is still one of the most beautifully timed finishes ever. Both Benjamin and Michaels timed it perfectly.

Last week on raw in Morrison's defense he used a new one to make team Raw.
What about Jeff Hardy's Swanton?
