for the longest time I watched any WWE show as a sort of "formality" more out of habbit than anything else, cuz it was all boring as hell.

As of late, as in the past four or five months, Raw has really caught my interest, while Smackdown has remained bland as always.

if the WWE really cared about the SmackDown brand (which is shown that they don't and only use it as a minor league system), in the 1st WWE "draft", they should have HHH stay on SmackDown and not get "traded".
I can't agree with that. Smackdown ended up with Booker T(an upper midcarder in his entire time with Smackdown) and the Dudley Boys(a great tag team, despite being bland for the last 2 years before that.) Plus, we got the great Trips-puts-Shelton-over-in-Shelton's-debut match out of it, which is good enough for me.

I figure Edge and Cena will interfere in each other's matches (along with Heyman and a cast of ECW characters). Something weird will happen in the DX-Spirit Squad match, prolly going against DX. Orton will only win by cheating or Cowboy Bob interefering.

DX will lose this round but get their revenge probably at SummerSlam.
RVD will retain due to interference.
Flair wins 2 falls to 1 vs. Foley.
    Cena will win.
    Orton will win.

I heard Orton's hand is injured (via this thread)

with that in mind I don't think he'll win this match.

edit: doesn't appear to be effecting him much, though. He seems to be using his hands like normal.

    other predictions

Edge wins, they've had their fun with the "controversy" of RVD taking the belt to ECW, now Edge will take it back and Heyman will proclaim RVD to still be the ECW champ, officially branching the two "brands" off.

Cena wins, the odds are against him, same ol story

DX wins with a run in from an unexpected participant or with a failed interference attempt from Vince. (although I can see myself being completely wrong here)

    Flair will win...unfortunatly

    Wow, Randy won...fair and square

edit: didn't see that he took the top turnbuckle off...but that's lame in the realm of "cheating"

Carlito joins DX because then they can have 2 more words for ya "that's kewl". I just have a feeling that a 3rd guy for DX will "make the save" and then be revealed as the newest member of dX. Maybe one of the Spirit Squad guys turning just as a curveball?

    vengence results (highlight for results)

Vengeance opened up with a video package looking at what transpired at ECW One Night Stand with Rob Van Dam defeating John Cena for the WWE Championship, with Edge costing Cena the title. Rob Van Dam defends against Edge tonight, as well as John Cena continuing his war with ECW as he takes on Sabu in an Extreme Lumberjack Match. D-Generation X are also back together as Shawn Michaels and Triple H face off with the entire Spirit Squad, and you have to believe that Mr. McMahon will play some part in that match. The fireworks then went off in the arena for the start of the show as Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler welcomed us to Charlotte!

    Orton vs Angle
The music of Randy Orton hit in the arena as he made his way to the ring, out for revenge on Kurt Angle who broke his ankle months back, and also defeated him at ECW One Night Stand. ECW’s Kurt Angle then made his way to the ring and we are set to go. Angle and Orton went to lock up and Orton backed off into the ropes. Orton again backed into the ropes to stay away from the former Olympic Gold Medallist. Angle with a double leg takedown and then rode Orton on the mat. Angle locked in a hammerlock and turned it into a pinning situation with the hammerlock still locked in for two. Angle and Orton locked up again and Angle with a single leg and Orton grabbed the ropes yet again. Angle with a right hand and went for a German off the apron but Orton held onto the ropes for dear life. Angle hammered the back of Orton and went for it again but Orton stubbornly wouldn’t release the ropes. Orton elbowed Angle off the apron to the floor, but then Angle nailed a German on the floor on the Legend Killer. An ECW chant started up as Angle entered the ring and Orton pulled himself to his feet. On the apron, and Angle went to suplex Orton back into the ring and succeeded in doing so. Angle rode Orton on the mat again and Orton again made the ropes. Orton with a thumb to the eye and a nice dropkick on Angle and then tossed him to the outside. Orton nailed some uppercuts on the floor and then slammed Angle head first into the apron, and then tossed him back first into the barricade. Orton tossed Angle back into the ring and covered for two.

Orton nailed some mounted right hands on Angle and then nailed a knee drop for a two count. Orton locked in a rear naked choke on the Wrestling Machine but Angle got Orton on his back and nailed a modified Samoan drop. Angle nailed an uppercut and then sent Orton to the ropes but Orton reversed and nailed a back elbow for a two count before going back to the rear chin lock. Orton used the ropes to his advantage to gain extra leverage on the chin lock. Angle fought out with elbows to the mid section and then ran the ropes but was met with a knee to the gut and then a knee drop for a near fall. Orton again went back to the chin lock. Orton wrenched away on Angle and the crowd is so silent you could hear a pin drop.

Angle fought out of the hold with an arm drag but then Orton exploded out of nowhere with a clothesline. Orton heads to the top rope and Angle exploded up there with a belly to belly from the top. Angle nailed a belly to belly, and then second.

Angle went for the Angle Slam but Orton reversed into his modified backbreaker for a two count. Orton seems to be going for the RKO but Angle shoves him off into the corner. Orton takes off the corner pad and Angle gives him a German. Angle continues with seven more German’s and Orton rolls to the floor, and he looks to be out of it. An “Angle” chant started up in the arena as Angle followed out. Angle tossed Orton back into the ring and covered for a near fall. Angle went for the Ankle Lock but Orton kicked him away. Orton leans on the exposed turnbuckle and Angle takes him from behind with the Angle Slam. Angle took down the straps and then locked in the Ankle Lock in the middle of the ring. Orton writhed in pain and was close to tapping but he somehow rolled through sending Angle into the exposed turnbuckle and then nailed the RKO for the win!

Mr. McMahon is on the phone and tells the guy that Vengeance is his. He said Spirit Squad will never forget what happened to them last Monday. There’s a knock at the door and in comes a kid in a wheelchair wearing a dX t-shirt. McMahon shakes his hand and then pulls the wheelchair closer. McMahon asked where the rooster was or the space aliens and he thinks this is a dX trap. McMahon says he knows why he’s here. The kid looks scared and McMahon tells him to shut up. McMahon says he’s taking him for a ride and pushes him in the wheelchair out of the door and it went crashing into something. McMahon laughed and then there’s another knock at the door and Coach comes in. He said he found the penis pump outside his door. McMahon said the joke was just on dX. Coach then says invited a close family friend to the building tonight, and McMahon is his hero. He said he just wants an autograph, he’s a young kid in a wheelchair, and he will stay that way for the rest of his life. McMahon gulped as we go back to the arena.

(Umaga (with Armando Alejandro Estrada) vs. Eugene. Estrada addressed a rumor on the mic. He tells Eugene he can bring any imaginary heroes he wants - Superman, Wonder Woman, etc., but no one can stop the "Samoan Bulldozer." Eugene brings out "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan. He then brings out Doink the Clown! Followed by Kamala! Duggan gets the fans to chant "USA!" Umaga wins in 1:37 with the Samoan Spike. After the match, Umaga spikes Duggan and Doink. Kamala comes in the ring, but Estrada insists Umaga to leave the ring, and he takes his manager's advice.

Ric Flair vs. Mick Foley - in a best of 3 falls match.

Flair's family is sitting ringside. Fans chant "Foley sucks" to start the first fall. Double arm DDT early by Foley on Flair. Foley pulled out a "Ric Flair like Mr. Socko" from his pants, but Flair grabbed Foley's penis to block it. Foley worked on Flair's knee. Foley went for a figure four leg lock, but Flair wins the first fall with a cradle at 4:08. Foley argues, but its now fall #2. Foley and Flair brawl into the crowd before Foley tosses Flair back into the ring. Foley grabs a garbage can filled with objects and throws them in the ring. Flair slaps on the figure four leg lock, but smashes a trash can over Flair for the DQ win at 2:36. After the match, Foley brings out his baseball bat with barbed wire around and strikes Flair with it, busting open the "Nature Boy." Agents come out to break it up as Flair's family looks quite concerned for Flair's well being. Flair is a "crimson mask." Fans chant "Foley sucks."

    * Promo for the Wrestlemania 22 DVD aired.
    * Backstage, Maria interviewed Carlito. Maria brings up some "Maria" logic, but Carlito doesn't understand it. Carlito says nothing would be cooler than winning the IC title. Torrie Wilson, wearing a bikini comes out (claiming its photo shoot time), wants oil rubbed on her. Carlito ended up with Torrie's dogs as the girls rubbed each other down. Carlito is enjoying the view as his music starts. He replies "NO! Wait...i didn't ask for music...NO.."

Carlito vs. Johnny Nitro (with Melina) vs. Shelton Benjamin in a three way for the IC title. First man to gain a pinfall wins the match, simple rules. Blood is visible on the mat from Flair's blood bath. Fans don't really know whom to pull for. Other than the Flair match, crowd has been pretty lack luster thus far. Carlito springboarded himself off the top rope onto Benjamin and Nitro on the arena floor. Melina did lots of screaming. As the match progressed, fans seemed to back Carlito. Benjamin threw Nitro over the top rope to work on Carlito. Benjamin had Nitro beat, but Melina her man's foot on the bottom rope. Carlito nearly won with a victory roll. Benjamin shook the ropes to block Nitro from superplexing Carlito. Next was a great spot where all three superplexed from the corner ropes, as fans chanted "holy sh*t." Lawler said Melina almost lost control of a bodily function. Carlito hit the backbacker move on Benjamin, but Nitro pulls Carlito out of the ring and he rushes in for the cover. Nitro wins the IC title at 12:04.

Backstage, Spirit Squad is talking about destroying DX. McMahon interrupted them for a pep talk. McMahon takes his penis pump into the restroom. He returns with green slime on his face.

Rob Van Dam vs. Edge (with Lita) for the WWE championship. On the mic, Edge says the WWE title being in ECW is as stupid as the stanley cup being in NC. RVD wore both belts to the ring, but only the spinning title is on the line. RVD went for rolling thunder, but Edge ducked out of the ring. Edge did a sunset flip over the top rope crashing RVD onto the arena floor. Edge did a sunset flip over the top rope (into a powerbomb) crashing RVD onto the arena floor. Edge hit a powerbomb into the security wall on the outside, but Edge could only get a two count. RVD climbed the top rope, but realized Edge wasn't out and hit a modified rolling thunder. Referee has been knocked out. Lita tossed in the WWE title belt, but RVD kicks it into Edge's face. RVD climbed the ropes again, but Lita pulled him down. Edge his a DDT on RVD, but the ref was still out. He kicks out! Edge went for the spear, but rammed himself into Lita's chair. RVD hit the frog splash at 17:54 to win the match.

    * Backstage, the ECW rebels celebrated with Paul Heyman. Paul says one down, one to go. ECW guys include Credible, Balls, Guido, Roadkill, Sandman, Snow, Dreamer, and Richards. Heyman said there will be equal number of lumberjacks tonight. ECW locker room chants "ECW, ECW."
    * ECW on Sci Fi promo aired.
    * JR plugs the 7/23 Great American Bash PPV.

Kane vs. "imposter" Kane. Early on, Kane tried to pull off the mask from the imposter. Chants of "boring" could be heard. This is basically a brawl. Fans aren't reacting to anything. Kane botched a superplex, but smashes the "fake" Kane on the mat. "Fake" Kane hits a chokeslam at 7:07 for the victory.

Extreme Lumberjack match: Sabu vs. John Cena. Raw lumberjacks include Snitsky, Haas, Conway, Viscera, Murdoch, Cade, Striker, Venis, etc. Sabu hits the triple moonsault with the chair early in the contest. Sabu drops the chair onto Cena via the top rope for a two count. Mixed crowd, but Cena is getting a pretty good reaction. The lumberjack brawl on the outside. Cena FU's Richards over the security wall. The ECW guys attack Cena. Dreamer puts him on a table. Cena avoids the triple moonsault attempt by canning Sabu with Sandman's stick. Cena FU's Sabu over the top rope through a table. Cena puts on the STFU as Sabu taps out at 6:48. The ECW rebels help Sabu to the back.

    * Backstage, Cena runs into RVD. Van Dam confronts him about coming into the ECW locker room on TV. RVD says he admires that. RVD suggests himself v. Cena live on Raw tomorrow night for the belt. Cena accepts, the two shake hands.

DX vs. the Spirit Squad in a 5 on 2 handicap match. HHH on the mic, says "are you ready?" HHH and HBK do the usual New Age Outlaws DX promo - two words for ya! DX plays paper, rock, scissors with HBK winning, so he started the match for DX, Mitch for the Squad. This doesn't have the feel of being a PPV main event, but rather just another Raw rematch. In a melee, Johnny ended up bleeding from his nose. Spirit Squad regrouped in the corner. Johnny, wrapped his head with a Japan symbol, i guess he knows MMA. HHH tagged in and gave him a right hand punch. Referee Mickey Hansen is having trouble keeping law and order. The Squad triple teams HHH and slams him into the ring steps on the outside. HBK hit the top rope elbow on Mikey, and calls for the super kick, but the squad runs in to break it up. HBK received a steel chair shot on the outside. HBK gets hung up in the Squad's corner, and gets beat down 5 on 1. Fans cheer for HHH for the hot tag. Face buster on Kenny, but Mickey breaks up a pedigree attempt. Sweet chin music and pedigree at the same time, double pinfall victory for DX at 17:48. DX cleans up on the Spirit Squad, leaving them all on their back in the ring. Mitch, left in the ring himself, HHH pulls his pants down and HBK puts him into Triple H's bare butt.

Vince comes out on the ramp and says congratulations, and he'll see them tomorrow as DX celebrates in the ring as the PPV ends.
