When the Miz first came to the WWE I thought he was pretty much a wannabe and figured he'd end up nothing more than a perennial jobber at best. But since then he's blossomed into an awesome (no pun intended) performer and I think he's one of the best things on Raw today.

He really sold winning the title for the first time in his (and his character's)'s career very well. He's great on the mic and even puts on a good show in the ring.

to the miz's credit, he made something out of nothing, after the tag team split with Morrison and going to Raw, it looked like the writers had nothing for him and he just started calling John Cena out and ended with saying he's awesome

Jericho did something similar with Goldberg in WCW

I loved the comment during the Daniel Bryan match a couple weeks ago. Punk called out Shawn Michaels as a trainer saying he just took all his money, and that William Regal was better. So true.

Can we please see King pile drive Cole onto a car or something and fire Cole? Please. Cole's whole shtick sucks and makes me wish there was some way to mute him and just watch (with sound) the action in the ring.

I still can't believe they gave The Jackass this gigantic push. Trips hates him and so does pretty much everyone in the locker room besides Cena (cause Cena likes everyone). I predict that Miz-erable will drop the belt at TLC to probably Sheamus and that is when Triple H returns.

He's fresh, he's new, he isnt completely Miz-erable in the ring I know a lot people who have been tired of constant Cena, Orton, HHH, UT title reigns and no one else has turned them off. Jericho isn't walking back through that curtain anytime soon, Rock isn't walking back through that curtain, Sting and Angle arent, etc. You have to find guys who can step in just like as HBK got hurt, Bret left, you saw HHH, Rock, Austin step in. Likewise now HBK is retired, Flair "retired", HHH has been hurt and not getting any younger (41), Edge got stuck fighting a computer and traded to Smackdown cause they had nothing for him on Raw. Why not the Miz?

Miz seems over with those in attendance with everyone finishing his catch phrase. My prediction is Miz retains the title probably until Wrestlemania. They need to get people ready because HHH is one more major injury from probably being done, Cena and Orton can't be the only ones trading off the belt every 3-6 months on Raw. This is just Miz's opportunity to show he can be another headliner. Its not like he's David Otunga or Chris Masters in the ring. And CM Punk is out for another couple months hurt.

I know they are looking at getting some fresh main event talent in the ring, and well we all have varying opinions on guys like the Miz, you have to give some credit for trying something new.

I would like Miz a lot better if 1) he didn't look like a jackass with the hair and face and 2) had a better gimmick, i.e not a complete douche. And they aren't finishing his catchphrase with "I'm Awesome", they're finishing it with "I'm Awful"

He still gets reactions from the crowd. Just like Kurt Angle with the "You Suck" chants in time with his entrances. That's what I mean. He gets heat, his whole persona is about the jab you in the eye and "proved" everyone he isn't a joke.

Which means he's getting the crowd to react, which means he's doing a great job as a heel.

A bad heel wouldn't be getting any reaction from the crowd....kinda like when Cody Rhodes is on the mic.

To be fair, giving him the WWE title kinda forces any fan who watches the show to talk about him whether or not they otherwise would.

That being said, speaking as one of his biggest detractors when he first came on the scene, I think he's doing a great job working over the crowd for heel heat and, while he's not the greatest in the ring he's still good enough to carry a match as the champion.
