    Re: Official WWE Thread

It has merit because it is a top rope move.
Though sometimes it looks weak, and understandably in this disscussion.

    Re: Official WWE Thread

    I'm fine with the swanton.

While it does look weak at times if he doesn't land just right and it relies more on the flashiness of the move, it's still believable enough that I can suspend belief and believe that he's damaging the opponent with his back.

Now, Jeff Hardy's lame gimmick on the other hand.... But I guess he makes up for it with his work in the ring.

Morrison should have stuck with Moonlight Drive. I liked the new one he did on Monday, but it seems like the kind of move that one wouldn't be able to do on everyone.

While I think it's better than Starship Pain, a problem with Morrison's latest finisher is that it requires the opponent to help out a little too much. Obviously the opponent is always helping to sell, but it's a bit of a stretch when you watch him jump with Morrison to help pull off the move.

It's kinda like when Rey Mysterio does a hurricarana and we're supposed to believe he somehow pulls a big person down with the balls of his feet. Or when Jericho used to do the triple power bomb and you watched the opponent blatantly grab onto Jericho's hands to help him pull it off.

That last example wasn't too bad, though. I didn't mind letting that slide because the triple power bomb was kinda cool.

The Sweet Chin Music Michaels hit Benjamin with is probably the best one he ever did, simply because Benjamin sold it like Shawn knocked him out.

And as far as finishers go, I still say Flair's figure 4 is probably the best, simply because it looks like it hurts. The Liontamer looked painful when Jericho was in WCW.

As far as TNA, they are done. As soon as Hogan and Bischoff came aboard, I knew at some point it would come back to the nWo. Now Hogan is going by Hollywood again.

The Figure 4 looks like it hurts because it does hurt.

I'm sure Flair lets up a little when they're performing in the ring but if you're actually trying to hurt someone with it you can.

And, the Liontamer (re: not the "Walls of Jericho") was awesome.

Theres a side of me that wishes with the whole Nexus/Cena angle they would be sort of this is the "good side" of being nexus and them running in to help Cena trying to convince him its not as bad as he thinks. Still occasionally laying down the pecking order (battle royal) but still showing the promising sides of Cena being heel and using Curts son and Harris to get a rematch since theyre in Nexus now and him turn total heel on Orton or (insert roster guy here). Rather than the Reluctant Body Guard.

I bet Barrett wins this match by disqualification after Cena gives him an "AA" and Cena gets by on a technicality.

    Called it

And now the announcers have to spin it for the dense fans who don't understand.

Good Call. I wish theyd quit hinting at the heel turn and just do it. They wait too long and it would lose ALL feeling. Thats why the nWo worked so well. NO ONE expected Hogan.

Tyler Reks looked pretty good coming out of that match. As did Big Zeke. Hope they get some good tv time in the near future.
