    Re: Official WWE/TNA/ROH Thread

It felt like Vince was trying to swerve the internet again. I'm guessing he was thinking that the internet would expect the belt off of Brock, since he's a part timer, and ran Rollins in to try to throw us off.

Oh, and by the way...the internet favorites(Cesaro, Ziggler, Paige, and to a lesser extent, Henry & Brock) all lost last night.

Like Hammer said in the NFL thread, they better not try to bring Reigns back at the same time as Bryan(The Rumble seems about right for both of them...), or Reigns is completely useless going in to Mania.

I think BEATING Cena hurts people more than losing to Cena. (At least on PPV anyway.)

Look at the last few years...

2011: Punk beat Cena, jobs to Del Rio. Eventually gets title back because he's their most over babyface, still takes backseat to Cena the next YEAR with the belt.

2012: Ziggler beats Cena, does nothing up to Mania, cashes in for one of the biggest pops in recent memory, misses next PPV, loses belt in first defense, probably won't get back to that level again.

2013: Daniel Bryan beats Cena, has 20 matches with Orton, which ends up with Orton as champion feuding with Cena until the internet revolts at the Rumble and makes them change course.

2013/14: Randy Orton beats Cena at TLC, loses all heat he had. Is basically a lost cause that just needs to go away.

2014: Bray Wyatt beats Cena at Extreme Rules, after Cena basically beat the entire Wyatt Family, loses the rematch and gets tossed into a heatless feud with Chris Jericho.

Seriously, Brock is only guy they've actually kept strong after beating Cena, and if it wasn't Brock, they might have completely undid that with the booking last night.

I'm gonna actually flip the script and defend Cena... to a point.

This is all IMO, Punk "gave away" all his leverage (I'm leaving it in quotes because plenty of rumors he was always signed to begin with). This whole thing was ultimately WWE saying we are in control. The fact Punk recovered is a testament to his ability to connect with the crowd and entertain.

Ziggler also got the concussion from Swagger (I believe) which derailed him.

The reason Orton lost all the heat was because of HHH and Steph not wanting to the spotlight on anyone else. I am no where near an Orton fan (and haven't been since Legend Killer/start of Legacy) but I really felt bad for Orton. He's boring to me but how many times has his character been neutered by HHH? Whether it was Evolution (Orton owe's the last decade of his career to Taker IMO), this last, and I'm sure there's probably others during periods that I didn't/wasn't watching.

Extreme Rules is a C pay per view with ~250k buys. You want to elevate a new young star and get people watching they needed to have Wyatt win or tell a better story at Mania with the ~1.1 million sets of eyes watching.

I still wonder how much of last night was changed to prolong this story because of Reigns being out. I know I go on about Cena and many people are probably tired of hearing it but he is a symptom of a much larger problem within the structure of WWE.

Leo's going to love this rumor....

Lotsa rumors flying that Rusev is going to go into Mania undefeated and Lana is going to cut a promo about being undefeated and issuing an open challenge to anyone in the back. Out comes a repackaged Ryback who proceeds to squash Rusev in like a minute to start a feud for 2015.

To get Rusev away from being undefeated without totally ending him.

    Who are...

No, you shouldn't care. Neither can wrestle, so they're around for no reason, really. I guess Summer is on Total Divas...

I used to like to stare at Layla. No idea if she's changed her style up though.

In a meh kinda way. I don't know, I wouldn't kick her out of bed, but I don't know if I'd walk upstairs to meet her in bed...

Say what you will about how they're booking Sandow but he's playing up his current role like a champ.

Learning from the Awesome one is always good. I'm sure this will eventually help get Sandow back up on his feet as a face. For whatever reason Miz as a heel gets faces over IMO.
