If dirt sheet rumors are to believed he only won the MITB in the first place as a way to boost Cody Rhodes who was supposed to win it from him at the culmination of the feud that ensued but that got derailed by the Rhodes angle with the Authority.

But, even so, this still seems odd compared to what they were doing with him even prior to that.

I got a chuckle about a month or so ago when HHH was on NXT announcing the "Take Over" event where he was lauding about how NXT stars are making a name on the main roster and listed a bunch of examples like Rollins, Reigns, Rusev, and Damien Sandow. (Not in that order)

I still remember watching NXT season 2 (the competition show before they rebranded FCW) and thinking Husky Harris wouldn't amount to much.
