But is it really unbelievable when the incarnation of "WCW" that he was turning on the WWF for wasn't ran by the same people on or off screen?

After all, it was Shane McMahon and not Time Warner/Eric Bischoff that he signed up to turn on WWF with. (in storyline, of course)

I don't buy it as unbelievable that he joined WCW just because he had beef with the previous ownership even on screen.

I'll agree retrospectively it could have been much better than it was, but I'm not painting it as the greatest angle that was ever put on television. I'm just saying I enjoyed it while many seem to think it was a steaming pile of shit on par with any John Cena related thing today.

meh, i guess not. i guess im more annoyed it wasnt used as a vehicle to elevate someone else to main heel status, and im using the past as the scape goat. jericho eventually got the push [and the right to put over triple h at wrestlemania in the culmination of another awful storyline], but i think it wouldve done wonders for him if he had been the face of the invasion instead of an already established austin.

From my perspective today I totally agree that there were others they could have pushed better then, and that's the part I paid little attention to at the time.

Although even then I hated the way they were using DDP.

I was about to complain (especially since it was with a lame rollup) but I decided to delete what I had typed out and just rolled with it.

He's not exactly the type you'd expect to carry too long of an undefeated streak anyway and the post-match shenanigans worked I think.
