Sheesh, I'm going to start comparing Jake Roberts and Michael Hayes now, because they used the same finisher.

Eh, can't really argue with that. When I watch a PPV on the network between 2007 and 2011, I couldn't tell you what most of the mains were going in.

(And I'm someone that can tell you the opener of random PPVs like IYH: 1, Summerslam '88 and Survivor Series '92 off the top of my head.)

Until Bryan kills his family, let's stop the comparisons based simply on finishers. That's the only thing they have in common.

I saw your bit on Facebook about it. I understand where you're coming from. I too was a HUGE Benoit fan and it hurt me to the core what he did. Everyone wants to compare who's the "next (insert name here)". NBA does it, NFL does it, MLB does it too.

I heard Sting called the John Cena with facepaint by Brian and Vinnie in a review of GAB Glory Days, because of the similarities. Is there some ulterior motives by WWE (who I'm guessing most of these are being leaked by)? Sure, will it amount to anything? Probably not, it may just be people trying to remember Benoit for his in ring stuff. I hate to make this comparision because one of these are completely apples and oranges but he's sort of wrestling's version of OJ or Pete. Yes they did some underhanded stuff but that doesn't mean the other stuff done on the field, in the ring didnt happen is there a "balance" that you can find? Is there any reason to try?

I only say this because of the amount of brain damage reported in Benoit's autopsy. I have friends who lost parents to Alzheimer's and the pain it caused it (and what Benoit was compared to). It just so happened in this occasion that he "snapped" and was strong enough to where he could do that sort of damage to 2 other people.

The only way Chris Benoit ever sniffs a WWE HOF is if his son becomes the Rock in terms of box office and they enshrine the entire family quietly 20-30 years from now, with as little mention of Chris as possible.

Yeah, but OJ used a gun to get some of his crap back from a guy.

Pete broke the cardinal rule of baseball - not bet on the game, especially your own team. Don't get me started about that.

What Pete Rose did is akin to chewing gum and talking in school compared to what Benoit did and what OJ was accused of doing that he laid out details of how he would have had he done it in a book.

I don't care how many locker rooms it's plastered on or how big of a deal you know it is in the game, that only makes his actions tremendously stupid, not more apprehensible.

My opinion is that Benoit never gets in and I doubt the E hires Benoit's kid simply because of who his dad was. I realize they can change character's names, but everyone will know who's kid he is.

I don't think it's right to ostriscize his son because of who his dad is, not that I disagree with you that they likely do.

It's one of the few shirts from WWE I would actually buy, actually.

Its a shame they painted themselves into a corner with Axel. Although he'd still be kind of bland/boring.
