This is today's report: Washington Nationals have plan to shut down All-Star Stephen Strasburg - ESPN
Some key points:
The innings limit may not necessarily be 160 but it's unknown at the moment.
GM Mike Rizzo is solely deciding when to shut Stras down.
When he's shut down, he is done until 2013's spring training.
With everything in mind, do you buck the idea of limiting him, and let him go to increase the odds of making a run for the playoffs AND make a run in the playoffs while running the risk of hurting one of the faces of the franchise (and quite possibly baseball period) OR do you agree with shutting him down even if hurts the season they are having and chances at a run despite that they still tote out 4 quality starting pitchers and the viable replacement at this point could be John Lannan.
B/S, you decide.
