WOW! Now I am really glad you don't have a vote.LOL, your value as a player IS your stats.
Yawn.
If someone can change my vote to Asdrubal Cabrera, please do. My whole thinking on AGon was flawed and have seen the error of my ways.

Perhaps if it were put into language that you understand...
Asdribubble = Awesomeness....does that help?
However, if your reasoning on AGonzo is flawed, then mine is too. Though in my view ACab is also worthy.
I am divided though on the "what makes an MVP" question myself because I also agree that a guy shouldn't be "punished" because the rest of his team is lousy if he is far superior on his own then any of the other candidates. On the other hand does he bring value because he lifts his teammates to perform or does he only "appear" to have value because he is surrounded by other studs?
Take a Babe Ruth and his hitting more homers himself than a majority of the teams did as a whole in his time, would he be an MVP if he had been with the ST Louis Browns in 1923 instead of the Yankees?
Also, ARod got his first in '93 with the last place Rangers and Dawson got his with the last place Cubs, so it does happen.
It would appear that the majority of voters throughout time feel that an MVP should come from a "contending" team.

it was at 6
It was? This morning it was 6 - 5. I guess someone else voted.
Is there a point you're trying to make after nearly a week? Only one that made excuses for Pat's terrible stint as a DH was Pat himself.
Well someone(my baseball coach) told me last year that it is a psychological difference when you have played a position all of your baseball career vs just DHing, especially switching leagues, which can affect a player.
