Look, Greinke's numbers would make even Tim Lincecum jealous. Better K/BB ratio, less walks per 9 IP, all without the benefit of a freebie in the 9-spot of opposing lineups.

Grienke didnt have the 2nd worst offense supporting him (Yes the M's were epically that bad by runs scored, only the Pirates had less beacuse they were shut out today).

Felix was 19-1 in games which he allowed 3 ER or less.

in Grienke's and Felix's NDs: 6 of those he had 2 ER or less.

Just so you're not feeling ignored, I'll say yes, it wouldn't be a grave injustice if Felix were to beat Greinke out. Felix's numbers would win it in any other year in any league besides Pedro Martinez's 1.90 ERA season in the NL.

Before I went into the numbers, I had Grienke in a virtual lock. Then you go look deeper into the numbers and you start finding evidence that Felix might actually win this thing with a more well-rounded season than Grienke's insane 2.08 ERA and good strikeout total.

I'm going Greinke over Felix as well. Greinke beats Felix in every way across the board except in wins (where the Royals screwed him over big time) and innings pitched (by 9). Greinke it is for me.

Isn't it also true that Felix had the best defense playing behind him (especially the best outfield defense), while Greinke had a bunch of bumbling goofs who couldn't field a ball to save their lives?

Re: A.L. Cy Young? You decide.

The outfield defense was tremendous. But the IF was banged up all season

    Branyan missed like 60 games
    Beltre missed time
Lopez is not a ML 2B, not even in PS2.
Jack Wilson is good but we had him after the deadline.
Josh Wilson has potential to be a good defender.
    Hannahan is okay
    Hall is okay
    Tuiasosopo is still unknown
    Carp is still unknown

Did i get all the infielders we used this season.....oh wait we employed the horrible fielding of Betacourt as well, like KC.

I haven't even mentioned all the OF used outside of Ichiro and Franklin.

Edit: The M's were below average in defense statistic wise. But thats because of the mentioned infield. The Royals are only slightly worse.
