I just wanted to give people options and I thought I was asking the opinion of the voter in the last poll. Either way, Kent's in. I am just glad to know the intelligence outweighs the ignorance on the subject.

That's always the common mistake made when someone poses the question.

When I ask the question I always want to know what people think should happen, but if you don't word it correctly you'll find a lot of answers such as "He will get in but I don't think he should" or vice/versa and they vote the way they think it will happen, and a lot of times even go on to argue it from that perspective. Generally using a lot of fluffier about how misguided the real voters are.

I think it's pointless to debate whether or not someone will get in. We'll find that out when the time comes. I like to know whether or not people think he should get in.

15-4 as of now. Three of the four who voted against Kent think there is some mythical steroid use without any proof and the other doesn't think Kent should be compared to other second baseman. Explains a lot Once again the majority is right.

Hold on, #'s aren't mythical...they are facts, you can draw what you like. He also was never a superstar, played shotty defense at best, and was a clubhouse cancer, how is that a HOFer?

Hold on, numbers aren't mythical but his alleged steroid use is. Not one of you has provided any proof. Kent has always shown power. Kent was never a liability on defense and definitely wasn't a flashy player. Jeff Kent was a Tim Duncan type player. Great at what he does while keeping an extremely low profile. That clubhouse cancer played on a lot of contending teams and all he cared about was winning. His play in the field is why he's a HOFer. But if you think he doesn't belong in the HOF because of some fictional steroid use or being in the top 10 in the important offensive categories isn't enough then be my guest, you are in the extreme minority. I wonder if Manny gets in the HOF despite his shotty defense or him being a clubhouse cancer or maybe it will be because of his offense?
