Self-explanatory, feel free to share your thoughts coming off Scott Boras's comments that A-Rod deserves $30 million a year.

I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.
Ah, give me something clever to say here.
New York, for less than 30 mil after Boras realizes nobody will give him that.

I think he stays in NY. I think there are only three teams out there, maybe four, willing to give in to Boras' 30 million dollar demands: Boston, NYM, NYY, and Los Angeles (A). I think he stays in New York (A) with a mild raise from his current deal, maybe 27-28 million per.

Then out of fairness to the others you will be Slagathor.
Note: I say NYM because I believe David Wright said he'd change his position if needed for A-Rod. I know they don't need a 3B

Wright> Arod at third so I doubt the Mets will do that especially with their pitching in trouble after this year as well as this year. I say LA, take your pick on what team. I don't think there is any way he stays with the Yankees.
I personally think it will be a 3 team race between the Yankees, Angels, and Cubs. I don't see him going to the Red Sox because of the fallout from the Sox's failed attempt to acquire him before the Yankees did, and because he's probably one of the most hated men in Boston. We all know Arte Moreno is in love with A-Rod and will do whatever it takes to get him. A-Rod also loves Lou Piniella and I believe the Cubs would trade Ramirez if it meant getting A-Rod. As for the Yankees, I would have said yesterday that A-Rod will be a Yankee next year. However, I believe that Boras's statement that A-Rod should make $30 mil is not only meant as a business tactic but as a slap in the face to the Yankees. Although they have had good dealings with him in the past, I envision the LAAAA (Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim of A-Rod) next year.

What, no Baltimore option?

TSSL - Houston Astros
TPSL - Chicago White Sox
I said the Yankees, but to be honest I do not know.
"For someone who was never meant for this world, I must confess I'm suddenly having a hard time leaving it. Of course, they say every atom in our bodies was once part of a star. Maybe I'm not leaving... maybe I'm going home."
the ditch with Boras since no one will sign him for 30M

I hope he goes to the Cubs.
He is staying!
Having Boras as an agent, he is staying a Yankee. THat is where the most $$$ is!!!
I think he will go to the Cubs, only IF and only IF two scenarios come into play.
1. If Arod opts out, which is most likely its going to happen.
2. If Mark Cuban buys the Cubs since there up for sale and Cuban has shown interest, also he's one of those owners who can afford to give Arod 30m.
Not if he opts out, if they can get a deal worked out in that 10 day window after the season he'll stay but if he opts out he's gone. Texas still pays a nice chunk of his salary and they lsoe that if he opts out so his salary wouldn't be going up just $5 mil it would be doubled.
fair enough, still have a hunch he stays in the Big Apple. Not trying to be difficult here, just my gut feeling. I don't want him in a Cub unifrm though, that is for sure!!! I don't want the Brewers facing him that many times in a year!!! hahahaha...
