I voted for St. Louis...I think they have enough to win the Central again with Houston and Milwaukee contending for the entire season.
As long as Izzy gets his shit together, the Cards will once again win this easily. Not as easy as last year but should be about 5 or 6 games. MVP, Cy Young, and the best defensive third baseman says Mike Schmidt should make this a winning team again.
St. Louis will win it, but not without serious competition by Houston and Cincinnati. Milwaukee will falter after a while. Pittsburgh blows. Chicago is decent, but Wood and Prior will let them down again.

Milwaukee has the pitching to stay in this race.
Reds will win it. I can feel it. Can't you?
Redsr, the Reds will stay in it until the very end, but I don't think they have the fielding discipline or the pitching (bottom of the rotation, not the top) to win the division. They might, and I emphasize the word might, be able to contend for the Wild Card.

I don't see the Reds having the pitching to stay in it til the end. Reds are red hot right now and I like it. It happened last year too so we shall see.
We haven't started this hot since 1990.
The last time we were 11 games over .500 was in 2004, but that was later in the season, which isn't the same as being 11 over now. The winning percentage at that point isn't nearly as high as the percentage at this point.
Not to mention we haven't fared well against the Astros/Cards over the last several years.
Another difference is the Run Differential is much better this year. There have been warning signs of collpase the couple of other times we started hot over the last several years based on Run Differential. It is better by far as of right now.
Just to clarify.
The Simpson family gathers around, as Homer places Bart's passed test on the fridge.)
Homer: We're proud of you, boy.
Bart: Thanks, Dad. But part of this D-minus belongs to God.
I think the Reds have the offense to stay in the race and keep the heat on St. Louis. The Cardinals haven't been getting consistant pitching with exception to Carpenter. Mulder and Marquis need to get better and the Cardinals offense can't keep counting on Pujols hitting a HR every other game.

So you voted for the Reds? Reds might have the offense but its the pitching that keeps you in it. Cards have plenty of both. Cards have the best team ERA and the Cards are one of the best hitting team with the best player in baseball. Reds are having a great season so far but Houston is more likely to stay in the race.

I think you have to go with St. Louis until someone knocks them off. I strrongly feel that this division will be tightly contested all year and its anyone's to win and/or loose. This division is balanced and which ever team gets their "what if questions" answered, then that will be the team(s) to emerge in the second half. We could easily see a team in this division with a .500 record or dare I say worse win the division. YIKES. Every team has reason to believe they can contend. I like Milwaukee and Houston to be right there. Cincinnati, Chicago, and Pittsburgh all have an outside chance, but I see this division being like the NL West the past 2-3 years. Whatever you want to call it, balanced or bad. But at least 1 team gets to go to the playoffs!
uh...this poll is a year old.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.
Ah, give me something clever to say here.
Well, I am making it a prediction for 2007!!!
