Although I do agree with your notion that Oswalt has better "ties" to the other teams. I'd belive a return to the NL would be safer for him after a 2011 season that wasn't that great.

Jackson to Washington, good move I think. Gio, The Straas, Jackson, Zim, Wang. Good little line up there.
I was really hoping for Oswalt but Jackson will have to do. Now they just have to trade Lannan to make room which I don't see being much of a problem.
As for Oswalt, I just don't see Texas as a fit. They have six starters already.
Nothing wrong in keeping him and bumping Wang from the rotation.
