Cameron finds work

According to FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal, the Nationals have reached a deal with outfielder Mike Cameron.
Cameron was said to be engaging in "serious talks" with the Indians over the weekend, but the Nationals apparently swooped in with a better offer. Bill Ladson of MLB.com reports that it's a minor league deal. Cameron, 38, batted .203/.285/.359 with nine home runs and 27 RBI over 269 plate appearances this past year between Boston and Miami. He'll likely function as a backup outfielder if he makes the Opening Day roster.

It's amazing he finds work after the season he had yet Jermaine Dye couldn't find work after hitting 27 HRs with a .793 OPS.

Probably because Dye refused to sign any reasonable offer. It's not like there wasn't interest.

Guess you don't remember the 2nd half he had in '09 where his OPS wasn't even .600.... and that was TWO WHOLE YEARS AGO.

I remember it clearly but I have seen worst players get contracts in the past two years.
