Very interesting move by Riggleman. I surely thought he would be the cleanup guy but I kind of see the reasoning. He is a good OB guy, can steal a bag and has protection in the lineup. Its a good way to get on the board early in the game. I just wonder who is going to hit leadoff now.Jayson Werth will bat second for the Nationals in most games this season.
Nats manager Jim Riggleman made the announcement Thursday in camp. Ryan Zimmerman will bat third, Adam LaRoche will bat fourth and Mike Morse will bring up the rear in the five-hole. Zimmerman should see plenty of RBI chances this season with Werth getting on base at a high clip in front of him.
