Rumor has it that the Nats have an offer out for Chien-Ming Wang.
per rotoworld:
Ken Davidoff of Newsday reports the Nationals will guarantee right-hander Chien-Ming Wang a base salary of $2 million.
Incentives can more than double the base salary, so Wang is in a nice position to cash in provided he can get healthy. While Wang has his injury issues, it's surprising no other team was willing to compete with the Nationals in a year that Ben Sheets landed $10 million. The 29-year-old has yet to begin throwing off a mound and is hoping to return in May.
I think this is a good risk here. Not too expensive. It should be interesting to see how he can do out of the limelight of NY as well. Hopefully the Nats get him.
