The Natinals picked up Logan Kensing from the Marlins for a minor league prospect. This is supposed to help patch up their bullpen problems.

Yet Mike MacDougal remains jobless.
McDougal is an even worse pitcher, arguably. But then again, it's like comparing horse shit to cow shit.
Replacing Bergmann with Kensing. Man, that's some upgrade! To make room for Kensing, the Nationals made two subsequent roster moves. They transferred Roger Bernadina from the 15-day disabled list to the 60-day disabled list, allowing Kensing a spot on the 40-man roster. Then, they sent reliever Jason Bergmann to Class AAA Syracuse, opening a spot on the 25-man roster.
Horrible in 2009, Kensing looked like a potentially solid guy in the future in 2008. Walk rate was a bit scary, but he posted a superb K/9 and seemed to have a potentially good career in front of him if he hammered out his control. This won't solve the Nationals' problems with the pen, but it might be a good move down the line. Then again, I don't think I've seen video of Kensing throwing for a year so who knows.

Why does every move have to be the end all be all problem solver, DK? It's cheap piece to fit in the bullpen, if it works out, great. If not, who cares, you gave up nothing.
Bergmann needs to be in the minors starting games, if he's not going to do it in the majors, anyway.
Well, it seems like a good trade...Kensing is fairly talented and they didn't give up much. Low risk, low reward move.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.
Ah, give me something clever to say here.
The Roger Bernadina family will so be pissed. Expect a gang-like rivalry with the Kensing family over this. There will be blood. Lots. And many losses. And high whips. The natinals will rue the day they crossed Bernadina.
Marshall: MILSWANCAs?
Ted: Wait, I can get this. Mothers I'd like to sleep with and never call again.
Barney: Circle gets the square!
The 2074 MSL NL Gold Glove Recipient at Third Base.
I predict the Indians sign him next.Nationals designated RHP Logan Kensing for assignment.
Kensing was given an opportunity by the pitching-starved Nats, and allowed 10 runs in six appearances. That's how you wear out your welcome in two weeks.
