Pena has been a huge disappointment for the Nats. Last year he hit just .205/.243/.267 in 64 games. He is oft-injured and strikes out a ton. He will likely find a job but it take a lot to see him in a ML uniform again. The White Sox could use OF help as could the Marlins and Rockies.Nationals waived outfielder Wily Mo Pena.
Pena hit .276 this spring, but with just one extra-base hit in 29 at-bats, he didn't attract any interest in trade talks. He'll clear waivers and probably head to Triple-A in order to collect his $2 million salary. Ideally, though, he'd find his way to an organization with a less crowded outfield.
