    Ryan Church optioned to AA

    Bad news, but he was slumping so it was expected.

    Marlon Byrd and Alex Escobar in center... ugh.

    Church will get some time in AA to fix his shit and then he'll get called back up, probably.

    oh...I'm not that up to date on the Nationals specs...that makes sense then I guess, but there's a big difference between AA and AAA. I take it their AAA team doesn't use a DH?

    no idea, I don't keep up with the minor league teams, just certain players from them.

    Watson's a 24 (maybe 25) year old centerfielder with speed but no hitting skills, and he was called up at the start of the year when they were ike "Ryan Church is a dick, put him in AAA." He can ****ing burn, but he's really just a terrible hitter right now.

    It could also be they don't want him to face many tough breaking balls (which AA has almost none of).
