I'm cool with making Sowers a type-A. Not sure if Shadow will re-sign him, but if he hits the market, he might be a guy that will actually net some comp due to his career numbers, nice ratings, and age (he's under 33 I think).

Youk was on pace to be a class A guy but he tripped up down the stretch. Still, another 100 plus walks, not a bad 900k investment.

Rest of Class B looks good.

Hey, I got an idea for pitching comp too.

Perhaps we could use the QS stat for something? It's a good indicator, but I'm not sure what the right number would be or how it'd be possible to include it. Maybe for guys who qualify by solely by ratings, not only have to have X amount of IP/GS, but also have X amount of QS. I dunno, just tossing it out there.

That's something that could be good if a pitcher falls right on the cusp of being or not being a comp guy for class A and B. Let's say, for example, Zack Greinke falls one point short of class B but has 60 or 70% QS, that gives him the nod whereas let's see Ryan Tucker hits the mark for class B right at the cut off but had like 40% QS, we rule him out.

I like that idea. Maybe we could use it with the statistical point of comp too, and correllate the numbers together so the stat standpoint won't conflict with the ratings standpoint... if that makes sense.

To put it more clearly, if a guy like Greinke already qualifies for type-b due to stats, but say, is type-a by ratings, we'd have the QS indicator at a level where it could be the deciding factor. So maybe 25 QS equals type-a (just an example, throwing numbers out there-- not sure if 25 is reasonable in an instance like this) even if the pitchers ERA doesn't qualify for type-a. It could override it. Well, same would go for ratings-- if a player is type-b by ratings (say he's almost type-a, just misses out), but has 25 QS, he'd qualify for type-A
