2009 MLB Draftees compared to TPSL counterparts/past drafts...

    Draft: 2009 Live DraftTracker | MLB.com: Events

There's other sources for the order and stuff. I'm not paying attention to years they were drafted in TPSL, because I scattered spects around over time... and I'm sure a lot of players I over or undervalued, but beside the point...

Aaron Miller was selected by the Dodgers today as a LHP... he's on my Dodgers as a bench player. =)

Dustin Ackley went #2 to SEA, 5 in our league to Minnesota one year.

Donovan Tate went 6th to SFN in TPSL; 3rd to San Diego this year (good pick if they can sign him).

Zach Wheeler went 15th overall to CLE in TPSL, 6th overall to SFN in real life

Jake Turner went 9 to Detroit, General nabbed him at #3

There's a lot of other funny ones to compare... Grant Green & Jiovanni Mier were both drafted pretty high in real life, and are complete non-factors in this league. Kentrail Davis was picked as comp in real life, and in TPSL he became a thorn in the side of General mid-first round.

Draft is still going on too... maybe I'll post back with some more as they surface.

Turner has been money while Enthrails has sucked butts.

    A little bit more in-

Cubs took Brooks Raley in real life, and plan on developing him as a pitcher where his upside is about #3 starter with moderate stuff. Two-way player in college, he also is a speedy OFer. Here's his TPSL counterpark:

#89 Brooks Raley, Centerfield, 27 yrs, Boston Red Sox - Out of the Park Baseball Report

I do believe the Red Sox took him when he was in high school and couldn't sign him in real life. But I could be wrong...

Went 5th round to STL in real life. Might be the best projection!

    edit:
Real life Tampa took C/1b Luke Bailey too...
