Alvarez's stats didn't respond well to batting 3rd, Howard lost his effectiveness as cleanup hitter, and Flores began to hit well only after he was dropped from leadoff to the 8th spot. Hence the wacky lineup.

3) Jon Garland
4) Jimmy Barthmaier
5) Blake Johnson

Maine is the only holdover from the 2015 championship starting pitching staff. It's put up or shut up for Albers. Garland's BABIP needs to come down or else he's finished in this league. Barthmaier is a durable arm, nothing more.
