In all seriousness... poor Dave. I've never seen a team drop off so badly after such a good year with a good GM to boot, unless it was intentional. Glitch aside, the Tigers really got bit by something this season.

Hicks is hilarious... even with his high stuff, I doubt he'd ever be a real strikeout or power pitcher anyway. His movement makes him really valuable though... he'll never give up many home runs while it's where it is. But his control is hilariously bad. Doesn't seem to hurt him too much, but ya wonder if he could just get it in touch a little....
Speaking of Willis... 5th in the AL in ERA... lol

But his control is not that bad, it's a 6. Granted he is not painting the corners with that, but he should be nowhere near a 1:1 ratio of walks to strikeouts. I've had guys with 3 and 4 in control show the same type of numbers. But I really don't care, this is the second talent loss he has had and when he stops producing I'll send him to AAA. I can't risk him posting a 6 BB to 1 K as he has done twice in the past 10 games when the playoffs come.

Oh, he has definitely been a success. But the 9-7-10 rated Hicks of a few seasons ago (like his rookie season) wouldn't scare me in a playoff rotation, the 8-6-10 with who walks as many as he strikesout does. Plus any demotion would just be due to the Florida financial situation, I need him as long as he is pitching to success but if he drops any more or starts getting lit up, I don't want to raise his arbitration. I can't afford that.

He threw 297 pitches. That has GOT to hurt
Also from that game:
-Balfour gave up an AL record 33 walks
-Balfour only got 3 K's in 82 batters faced
-33 of Detroit's 42 runs were earned
-Bo Greenwell walked 5 times, got 9 RBI's, and 4 hits including a HR and a triple
-The fewest amount of times a Detroit batter got on base was 5. Not one Cleveland batter got on base more than 3 times.

KC did all I hoped it would. Going 10-6 this sim and at least holding ground til I get a few more trading pieces. Offense picked it up a bit, Kinslers been great posting an .880 ops so far hopefully the offense can pick up some of the pace.

Hopping gets to start this month for the injured Wheeler. He has done a great job so far. Not nearly as good as Wheeler, 6-1 with a sub 2 ERA is hard to match, however he does give me some flexibility with my staff. I can probably consided dealing a starter to keep my payroll down and keeping him in the majors.
Oh yeah, Best record ftw.
