my highlight didn't come playing baseball, it was during hockey in pee wee (13 years old), winning the championship while leading my team in scoring (4th in the league) then in the final game I suffered a concussion (unknown to me at the time), still played through it, ended up scoring twice after with a concussion, I couldn't remember half the game but my 2 goals and all the after party. We were regular season champs too, we ended up getting two trophies, that whole year was my best year of ever playing hockey.

It was funny though, we were too good to start off in the year and they took our best player at the time and moved him up a league, then half way through the year they took the leading scorer of the league off our team and moved him to another, two of our best players were moved off the team and we still won, suckers.

A few years back I stole home in extras to win the game. That was pretty sweet when it happened. I think we ended up winning the league tourney that year too.

Mazzaro is dominating right now. He's already got 17 saves (7 more than the next guy)...that's half his total from last season. He's "on pace" for 71 saves lol.

if that's not reason enough to root for Seattle moving forward, I don't know what is.

well, Mazzaro made the ASG as a closer last season, too (5 - 3, 34 saves, 2.34 ERA, and 1.12 WHIP).

after predicting the epic fail of pitching for this team I must say I am surprised to see the epic fail of the hitters that I signed this offseason.

For the first time in probably any league that I have been a part of can I say that the offense is the reason for my problems not pitching.

Need to just ditch some of them and try other options on the bench. 1b is a clear weakness got some feelers out hoping to find something to remedy the biggest hole on my team since I traded Mike Sweeney.

Anthony Gose is going to join Aurelio Velasco on the "What could have been" team for the Devil Rays, since neither of them look like they will pan out, which sucks ass because I traded Morneau for Velasco and Gose was the 33rd overall pick.

Huh, Winning like this isnt as fun without Detroit. I mean I wanna win the division at all, but its not the same if Detroit just falls off the Earth like this. Jeez.

I don't see why Gose can't be an Alfonso Soriano type if he can get his power to 8 or beyond... his eye is never going to be good, but there's players succeeding without eye this season and other years. Just look at Nolan Reimold for the Indians this year... and his gap isn't close to Gose's, nor is his speed. At the least, Gose could be a super 4th OFer..

Velasco was a longshot anyway though... you acquired him at 25 and he wasn't even close to filled out. It's not like Morneau has done a ton since then... empty power numbers and it would've cost a ton to keep him probably.
