My throw shit at the wall and see what sticks strategy isn't working very well thus far.
Not that I expected it to.

So that's why mission was eager to get rid of Roy Corcoran.
Not the kind of sim I was hoping for, at all. Fun to see Zito locked into a pitching duel with Gallardo. Way to channel your Cy Young days, Zito! You're prolly dead from here on out.

Philly is not below .500, some of the younger guys off to good starts, see if it holds up before giving them some more PT

Yikes, I came here expecting Porter's gripes about being 3-12 and got nothing. What do I know.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.
Ah, give me something clever to say here.

6-8 sim with a 7-7 Pyth...not great but it's just the start of the season.
Batting AVG: .233 (25th)
Homeruns: 12 (T-25th)
Walks: 50 (3rd)
Stolen Bases: 8 (T-20th)
Runs Scored: 60 (T-23rd)
Pitching ERA: 3.88 (9th)
Opponents AVG: .245 (8th)
HRs Allowed: 7 (T-1st)
Walks Allowed: 29 (2nd)
Runs Allowed: 62 (12th)
My defense sucks, otherwise I would probably have every pitching category in the top 10.
Stephen Strasburgh is 3-0 with a 1.75 ERA...which seems monstrous but he's 10th in the NL in ERA. Good Lord.
Skezz Henke filled out even more to 6-8-10, he may slide into the rotation now...Portillo lost talent down to 9-9-7 after a really good start.

Cue PA with "or Gil Cy Meche!"
Y'all remember when Rich Hill.. did win the Cy? LOL

you have to give Slyder some of the credit for that one; he's the one that said he was a Cy caliber pitcher when he was trying to dump him.
Batting AVG: .303 (2nd)
Homeruns: 11 (27th)
Walks: 48 (4th)
Stolen Bases: 15 (8th)
Runs Scored: 71 (11th)

Sunday 4/2/2015 :
Chaz Roe is hitting his spots better, his command improved!
8,10,8 and he's off to a good start. That should help. I'll slide McCarthy to the 5th spot now and then out if he still blows after a few more sims. Pujols hitting over .450 with an OBP of over .580 and an OPS of 1.170...no homers and only 3 RBIs
2 and 2 vs. the Yankees, 2 and 1 vs. the O's, but 2 of Seattle's wins were against us (one was a blown save)
I was going off S3SL history. I said he could be in a good year. 9 7 8 usually pretty good in the leagues I had been in, unfortunately this league seems to be a little rougher on pitching. Plus I mistook what prospects you gave up, thought you had given up a better prospect that would have been what I received.

"Oh, don't mind me, I'm rebuilding now" then you win at least 80 games

This league is NOT rough on pitching. It's all in your heads. If anything, this league is EASY on pitching. Note the big thread at the top of this board.

And note what brown just mentioned too if you want... a lot of really good pitchers are performing how they should be, as evidence of the NL ERA standings. Of course, 15 games in isn't much of a sample size if any... and everyone's ERA is going to rise in time, even Cordiers but I think it's a positive note that the pitching should be the least of anyone's worries...
Even if you look at most bullpens, there's not a lot of really screwy numbers like I admit there used to be... pitching has improved since a season or two ago when I changed the slider base and all of that.
