Nick, Crazy should have sent you a PM confirming that he agreed to this. Maybe I'm giving up too much for a 34 year, but he's one of the best hitters. If you honestly feel I'm not giving up enough, then so be it...but he's 34 and makes $24 mil. I'm sure he'll take some hits toward the end of his extension, too.

I can afford him as he'll push my payroll to around $90 mil and my revenue was almost $100 mil last season. I can afford to give up the 2 specs as I'm pretty much set at those positions for the next few years. I'm hoping Pujols puts me over the top. He'll be my new DH. Duke is there to move some salary back...he's been in my minors and hasn't been that good when in the majors recently. A change may do him good.

i'll pass this. pujols is 34 and prov is now paying $12 mil for a half a season, and has the chance to resign him. he's giving up more quantity than quality but it's quality enough that it looks like a very even trade to me actually.
