He'd be my team's only outstanding guy. 8,8,8,10,6 ratings currently. .306 AVG, .397 OBP, 25 HRs, 87 RBIs, 91 runs, 79 BBs, and .917 OPS...he missed 1-2 weeks due to an injury, too.

Zimmerman would have been last season with MVP type numbers at 3B and GG defense, but he had a down year this year. Casilla had 3 years in a row with over 40 saves (1st 2 years and 2nd the other) before 2 injuries messed up his 2012...wasn't even my closer this year.
Matt Wieters .951 OPS (1st in the AL) to Barton .917 OPS

Barton and Zimmerman was 3rd for their positions on my list btw

Salty's better than all of them because I say so.

Josh Hamilton is not the best at his position, however, because he's a money grubbing asshole.

oh, my mistake. Wieters played in more games due to Barton's injury. It's close. Barton's career numbers are better. OPS .893 vs. .832 and they're close to the same age. Barton has better career numbers across the board. Obviously, he's got 2 seasons on him, but it's not his fault he was ready sooner. They're less than a year apart.

Barton has a better career OPS than Salty, too. Salty loses points 'cause he's on such a crappy team. Barton has led my team to 5 straight division titles.

What does that have to do with anything?

(Not arguing the assessment of my shitty team.)

Granderson at RF?? Not a power hitter, but previous gold glove, perennial contender for batting title, good SB, great R and RBI production...

I'd certainly say so... he's as close to a franchise player as there is in this league.

Well I'd make a play in saying Ethier, he had an off year plus missed 8 weeks but still but up good numbers. Not to mention how he single handedly almost won the World Series a year ago hitting .400 in the playoffs.

I'm sure the underachiever Sizemore and Kershaw, Sowers deserve atleast a look.

Ethiers really good, as long as ratings aren't factored in... KErshaw isn't really an underachiever either I'd say. Maybe he had a down year, but his numbers seemed on top going into this year for a pitcher like him.

    Sizemore's been disappointing =/

And if Jose Reyes had not taken a downturn in BA this year... I may have said his name in this... 16HR 80+SB... but his average dropping to about .280 hurts that argument

I only meant Sizemores been disappointing. The rest are doing solid, though Sowers has had better years.

I would probably break down and cry if that happened. Its pretty much a 20 game swing either way when he plays or not for a season.

Re: Best player at each position in each league...

    C Daric Barton this season:

10th in AVG (1st for C), 2nd in OBP (1st for C), just outside the top 10 for SLG (no catchers in the top 10), 4th in OPS (1st for C), 5th in runs created (1st for C), 3rd in runs created / 27 outs (1st for C), 9th in runs (1st for C). 2nd in walks (1st for C). He also had 42 doubles, 22 homers (over 20 homers in every single season), and 89 RBIs. All of that was from the #2 spot in the lineup.

Obviously, Martin is the best C in the NL. The C in Houston had a fine season, but he had a career year and I don't see him doing that again with those ratings.

I'll say my own guy in LF/CF/RF ....wherever. Led the league in OBP, BA, Runs created, 2nd in OPS. 10 defense.
