The Kansas City Royals were the surprise of the first half, but hitting heavy league was its downfall as Josh Beckett was the only bright spot for this team's pitching. KC hopes that the pitching comes around with Luke Hochevar taking the final step in his development (A bit later than I thought) and some of the guys from AAA will get their chance this year.

So far the only acquistion has been power hitting Paul Konerko coming in to take over for Ben Broussard. The team besides that will be largely the same.

I hope to be in contention in September with a playoff spot on the line. The pitching could go a LOONNNNG way toward that goal.

My offense once again can score a ton of runs but yet again the starting rotation that is a
9-8-9, 8-9-9, 9-7-9, 9-7-9, 10-6-8 can keep ERAs under 5. Why is that. They are talented enough?!?!? Its freaking Safeco!
