Pleasantly surprised I'm still in first

Now I'm glad I made the H-Mart for pie trade when I did...

And Yorvit Torrealba is the signing of the year... 1 year, a little over 600k... and is on pace for .277, 29, 104.... not bad at all for someone who was signed off the scrap heap...
Then there is Torii Hunter... the brotha no one wanted... on pace for 360, 27, 94...
Granted, I doubt either keep up those huge numbers, but for the prices paid, they have exceeded expectations.
A-Rod has done the opposite... Averages wise at least, his power numbers are Ok.

I fully expected the offense to be pretty damn good. The pitching is talented but not 1st in ERA or Runs Allowed. I expected them to be in the hunt for a wild card. What surprises me more is that Oakland is doing worse than expected. Holliday and Pedroia are fighting each other in the MVP Race. Jeff Francis has settled in to the nice confines of Safeco Field. Where are all the haters on Gil Meche now?

I really need pitching. Grasping at straws with Shawn Chacon and.. nearly everyone else. No one out there wants to swap a starter and/or a few relievers for young outfielders? Everyone I have to offer is under 30, most under 25!
I have 36 total homeruns.
Justin Morneau has 24
David Wright has 26
...woooosh

here we come Seattle! 5.5 games back now. 1 game behind Toronto for the Wild Card though.
my future CF lost some contact talent...still useful, but not as much so.
