i was actually prepared to keep Teixeira after a couple of deals fell through at the negotiating table, but then Boston came calling. I didn't get any big stud prospect or anything, but I think I got a lot of quality for Tex. it pails in comparison to Salty and Andrus, but hey, what can you do

Youk is fully developed at 1B and will be a great fit for what I want to do in the 3-hole. Hansen steps right into the bullpen and may assume the role of set-up man by the end of the season. Johnson and Still get time to develop in the minors and hopefully might have an impact for me sometime down the road
