Wins matter too much in the Cy Young and Sheets has Harden there, CG and QS% don't matter much like Shutouts which Sheets has a edge on Harden, losses are even more meaningless. Sheets having more starts than Harden won't matter either, its all about how they finish.

Sheets has Wins on a big enough gap to convince me he has won if he keeps it up, Sheets has a small edge over Harden on IP, K's, ERA, and the WHIP is the same. Why should Harden win with how the stats look, Harden won't win with how its going right now.

I didn't say Halladay had a edge over Harden at all, I'm saying that with Sheets vs Harden though, I would say Halladay closer than you think since he's right there in almost every stats and I said that Halladay was behind Harden is almost all of them too.

This is a reminder. Since you put over Peavy as competition.

I'll take Peavy vs Halladay as an example here, Peavy has wins and K's over Halladay but who has ERA, WHIP, IP, CG, SO, and QS%? Halladay does. Now without Harden or Sheets, who is likely going to win the Cy Young or who would you pick, from you're eariler post it sounds you would pick Peavy.

Its the same as Harden vs Sheets, with the exception that Sheets has even more wins and stats over Harden than Halladay does over Peavy.

My point, wins matter over than other stats especially if there is little difference in the other stats, that's why Sheets has a edge over Harden and is likely going to win the Cy Young.

Time to start slimming out AAA. I wish Phelps and Simon's local pop would go down so I could release them without getting a hit to FI.

Jason Bay had 8 hrs in 6 games... 6 games in a row with a hr, including one game with 3 hrs. I'm so glad I made that trade now. I really do think he will be a huge part of my success going forward.

Considering I'm just five games behind krush and most of everyone is on his knob, that's not too bad.

here we go again...all talent loss and no talent gains. this game drives me crazy sometimes...-5 difference and LAA is +4 so now I'm a game behind

    Batting AVG: .259 (8th)
    Homeruns: 124 (14th)
    Walks: 394 (8th)
    Stolen Bases: 91 (21st)
    Runs Scored: 575 (11th)

    Pitching ERA: 3.07 (1st)
    Opponents AVG: .224 (1st)
    HRs Allowed: 70 (1st)
    Walks Allowed: 291 (4th)
    Runs Allowed: 392 (1st)

the pitching is still there, but the offense is starting to struggle.

The best month of July in the American League certainly had Oakland's right-hander Rich Harden, earning him the Pitcher of the Month award. He went 4-0 in July and finished the month with an ERA of 0.81. He struck out 33 in 33.1 innings. Rich pitched a shutout as well. This season Harden compiled an ERA of 1.65, going 13-3 in 21 starts. He fanned 140 while giving up 105 hits in 168.2 innings. He has 7 complete games and 2 shutouts. He's 2nd in the American League in ERA and 3rd in wins!

    Another sim at 500....

    Took 2 of 3 @Minny
Split 2 and 2 vs Toronto
    Went 1-2 vs Cleveland

    Batting AVG: .257 (11th)
    Homeruns: 71 (28th)
    Walks: 294 (30th)
    Stolen Bases: 131 (11th)
    Runs Scored: 496 (21st)

    Pitching ERA: 5.71 (30th)
    Opponents AVG: .284 (30th)
    HRs Allowed: 158 (30th)
    Walks Allowed: 397 (20th)
    Runs Allowed: 705 (30th

Offense is doing surprisingly well, too bad more of the pitching isnt ready to help. Gaithright comes back next sim which is a welcomed site.

I need someone in the rotation to pick it up and start showing they are going to have some longevity for me.

That sound you hear is Texas crashing and burning.

11.5 out with 47 to go.

If the pitching doesn't get it going i'm in trouble.

Not to mention my catcher got hurt and is out 7 weeks.

The next sim is the breaker. Toronto and Oakland at home, and Detroit on the road

ARGHHHHHHHHH WTF...swept by the mother****ing Cubs, 7.5 back in the Central, 5 back in the WC. Just when we were starting to hit our stride too. Incredible.

Only good news...Robin "Alchemist" Muldowney experienced a random talent increase and goes from 3.5 to 5.0 spect stars...what a pick at #18 or so.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.
