what strategy was that? we were 28 - 14 vs. lefties IIRC, so that was risky going with Maroth against Harden...we just didn't score. We hit in the 2nd game, but didn't pitch well. oh well, still technically alive, but it's not looking good. I'd like to win 1 game at least

Hmmm... home records of the pitchers I started.... Saving Maroth for the road would have been horrific.... Tata does not do well at home, plus was not as hot.... plus using one of my 'lesser talented' SP's against your best in game 1, gives me better matchups in the other games

It was risky... but there was reasoning behind it that I was willing to try... because many times in s3sl, I've gone on straight talent, only to be disappointed

ahhh, well it worked I suppose. I wanted my best to pitch twice if needed...I'd rather lose with my best I guess then try something else. My rotation isn't that deep either. My guys were pretty good on the road, too...oh well

ootp is a fickle beast sometimes.

in my measley 2 playoff appearances... i tend to go with the home/away records/performance myself. and i had my rotation planned out for the playoffs based on that in the 3-4 years i missed the playoffs by like 1-3 games.

unfortunately, with guys like sam rodriguez over the years... one year hes good on the road and sucks at home, one year hes good at home and sucks on the road, so i dont know.

Harden had better road numbers than Maroth did home numbers, so whatever I guess.
