3 Way tie for first...Interesting to say the least.

Draft went well. Picking up Stewart was nice. Have Graff there til hes ready. Picked up 3 5.0P MRs in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. My 4th rounder had an immediate boost and is now a 5.0P SP. The future for the Pirates has never looked so good.

It's because they have never had a future for about a decade and a half.

    Vernon Wells' power has dropped

A.J. Burnett seems to have improved his pure stuff!
A.J. Burnett is hitting his spots better, his command improved!
still means nothing to be a 10-8-8 talent at 30 years old if your ratings (9-7-8) don't increase as well, instead I'm sure they have decreased since the last time I saw them.

    this means even less now
Mike Sweeney has gained more power!
    he's 33 now

Troy Glaus is getting worse as his contact drops, gap drops, and avoid k's even dropped lower.

lets just kill the whole team right now

I really am disappointed with my team, despite having the best record in the league.

Ensberg sucks, as does Colon and pettite. They need to level out a bit.

Yankees have the best bullpen in baseball...

Anchored of course by the greatest relief pitcher ever, Mariano Rivera with a 2.11 ERA, 18 saves, .80 WHIP, and 17/1 k/bb.

Proctor and Farnsworth have been up and down...

but then we get to the young guys-

    Jesse Hoover- 10 games, 32.2 IP, 3.86 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, 25 K/ 10 BB
    Brian Bruney- 14 games, 12.2 IP, 0.71 ERA, 0.79 WHIP, 11 K/ 3 BB
    Mark Melancon- 16 games, 32.0 IP, 1.69 ERA, 0.63 WHIP, 21 K/ 6 BB

At least Farns and Proctor don't walk anyone and strike a lot of guys out.

I think the Hafner trade was a rare trade that helped both teams... He traded one one of his best hitters, but received a #2 starter that has seemingly stabilized his ability in Cleveland. Hafner has given my lineup some more punch, and the loss of Wang has allowed me to move Aaron Heilman into the rotation, who has been very successful there.

I didn't even get a chance to put Clifford Lee back in the rotation. That deeply saddens me.

On the other side of the equation, 1st place (huh) and gained another solid prospect. I may not have the best farm, but my farm is the most ready. It's sexy.

I'll give you Sizemore, Vidro, and some change for your farm. That's a solid step in right direction. *snicker*

I'd rather be looking forward to which non-world beaters Slyder would offer you for them.
