It feels like we talk realignment whenever two or more good teams are in two or more divisions and one or two divisions suck.
If it would help, I'll just switch to Atlanta so there's someone else active in the NL East.

This is all cyclical. Up until the last season (arguably) the NL West was the "best" with the machine that was Arizona and Porter in Anaheim, and it wasn't that long ago KC had a very nice run themselves. Time/salary cap made it necessary for them to rebuild. This is why if you look most of my (that I signed guys to) are up in the next 2 years and why I always have like a dozen free agents to be. KoZ happen to be the one to step up when Arizona and Anaheim waved the white flag and filled the power gap and take advantage of the sell offs.
At least it's not like MSL where St Louis who finished last in the NL West would have been 2nd (and made the playoffs) if they had been in the NL East. I don't see where an undeserving team is going to make it. The loser of the NL Central is probably going to be in the 95-105 win range and there's no one really in the other divisions who can really cry foul as Philly and Pittsburgh are going to be in the mid 80s- low 90s.
In the AL, Baltimore has an 11 game lead over its next rival for wild card. I don't think its really that unbalanced. Just some guys who normally be at the peak are going through retooling/rebuilding phases.

"Oh, don't mind me, I'm rebuilding now" then you win at least 80 games

Exactly. Which is why the NL West is pretty loaded. Two are rebuilding and one is getting closer to being back to where they once were. So having only one good team is more of an anomaly. I don't think divisions need altered unless you wanted to swap Atlanta for one of those four (let's say Anaheim and then just change names cause I'm sure Porter could care less about that name)

I was just aiming to get Toronto in the AL East and Montreal in the NL East. I don't know what this competitive balance talk is all about, especially when I'm not really playing the way others do.
You're what we call a "non factor"

i will graciously relocate my team every single season, to be in whatever division i deem the weakest right after free agency. im a class act like that, i will have a roving fan base.
