Is three still a magic number? I don't see him helping the Jays chances at all.According to Shannon Drayer of ESPN 710 in Seattle, Jamie Moyer has signed a minor league deal with the Blue Jays.
The Blue Jays have yet to make an official announcement, but Drayer hears that he will be with the organization's Triple-A affiliate on Thursday. Moyer recently asked for and was granted his release by the Orioles after posting a 1.69 ERA and 16/0 K/BB ratio in 16 innings with Triple-A Norfolk. It's not a bad spot for Moyer given the rash of injuries in the Blue Jays' rotation, but we're not optimistic about his chances for success in the American League East. The 49-year-old southpaw was knocked around to the tune of a 5.70 ERA in 10 starts with the Rockies earlier this season.
