Potential bad news for Drabek

Kyle Drabek felt a "popping sensation" in his right elbow before leaving Wednesday's start.
Drabek left Wednesday's outing in the fifth inning with the injury. It sounds scary, but Blue Jays manager John Farrell said that the young right-hander is in no pain at the moment. We should know more on his status after he undergoes tests Thursday.

Does not sound good at all. Drabek has never lived up to the hype and looks like he his potential will be put on hold. Sucks for the Jays as Drabek was supposed to help fill the void left by trading Halladay.

He's been pitching much better this season, and I've seen a marked improvement. With him and Morrow out, the rotation is looking REALLLLLLLYYYYYY thin.

Kyle Drabek (elbow) is scheduled to undergo Tommy John surgery Tuesday.
Drabek was diagnosed with a ligament tear in his elbow, so it was something of a foregone conclusion. This will be the second Tommy John surgery of his brief career. He'll miss the rest of the season and the early portion of 2013, as well.

Bummer, I was hoping it wouldn't come to this. Jays need to find some pitching and quick.
