After a rotten 9 game road trip where the Jays went 2-7, they came back home to play the White Sox.
Shaun Marcum, Jesse Litsch, Roy Halladay, and Dustin McGowan all pitched great in each of their outings, the Jays out-scored White Sox 12 to 5 (3 were earned runs) with 2 shut-outs. The bullpen was also great not giving up a single run, picking up 4 saves during the sweep (B.J. Ryan with 2 and Scott Downs with 2).
The offense struggled but came though just enough for the pitching to win the game.
Matt Stairs was one of the good hitters like always, hit a solo HR to give the Jays the 1-0 lead they needed to win the game Monday night, and a 2-run double on Sunday to help.
Their win streak is up to 5 games now with the sweep and are 16-17 on the season.
