The Blue Jays sweep the 3 game series against the Red Sox after today's 7-4 win. This pushes the Jays' early record to 4-2. The Jays' pitching proved too much for Boston this weekend, although all that travel must have screwed up Boston especially Ortiz.
Marcum, Litsch, and Halladay were all strong in their starts against Boston and the bullpen stepped up when counted on, Accardo picked up two saves this series to make his season total up to 3 saves.
Frank Thomas woke up early in April (for once) to help power the Jays to victory with a Grand Slam on Sunday, had a HR on Saturday, and a game changing 2-run double on Friday. Interesting to note that when in New York he got tossed from the game on Thursday, it could lit a spark under Thomas this early. Thomas vs Boston this series, 4 for 12, 2 HR, 8 RBI.
Jays out-scored the Red Sox 23 to 9.
