    Koskie out, Hill in

Blue Jays starting third baseman and cleanup hitter broke his thumb sliding into second today against the Twins. (www.tsn.ca) He is expected to be out 4-6 weeks, but could be as long as 8 weeks.

Aaron Hill, the Jays' first round pick of 2003, has been called up to take his place.

And so it starts. This is a big hit for the club, it will be interesting to see how the team takes this.

Another interesting note is that Hill is predominantly a shortstop, a position which is currently filled by 2002 first rounder Russ Adams. Hill is the better prospect, but Adams' defense is better (at this point). Hill had 10 errors in a little over 30 games at AAA.

Sorry to hear about Corey being in the DL. Hope he gets well soon.

Aaron Hill is easily my favorite non-Mariner. Guy was the man at LSU. I hope he does well.
