So where's the updated list? Is the list under "Next First-Year Player Draft Class" current? Because if it is, I can't believe no one picked Darryl Strawberry.

  4. #49
It is current. Did you not bother to look up 4 posts and see the people taken? Strawberry wasn't one of them.

I think it was a good decision for this round, but do you plan to have the next years as strong as this group? That would be a little bit too much talent, in my opinion.

This is the only year that will be this strong. This year I took some players from 1980-1987. Next year (2007) the draft class will consist of some players that debuted in 1988 only. In 2008 the draft class will consist of players that debuted in 1989 only, ect. I thought a larger draft class this year would be beneficial for a couple of reasons. For one, it would infuse older players to replace the older players that are retiring, and give everybody a chance to play with players that they remember from the past. The stronger class doesn't punish teams that drafted good ML ready teams, because even the 30th pick will be a very good player.

Crazy I have my list narrow down, just having a hard time deciding between 2-3 players. Has Arizona sent in a list yet?
