I think the hardest division to predict was the AL West. The top 3 teams have equal chance to win the division. Just like in real baseball, the AL is a lot better than the NL.
ALCS: Phillies over Indians
NLCS: Braves over Red Birds
World Series: Braves over Phillies in 6…Not being a homer at all, I just think my rotation is easily the best in the game and with a solid lineup and bullpen.
These are just my predictions. I only spent about 20 minutes on this, so it’s not like in-depth predictions or anything…Comments or thoughts???
Yes, no way I finish 4th in the NL Central.
Fresno's catcher, 2B and LF and CL/set up(whatever Wickman does) should be dead come stretch run. =)

Not trying to brag or anything, but I do consider Cincinnati the favorites in the NL Central. It's a tenet of Moneyball that you pursue the undervalued, and in my division's case it's established major-league players over 25.
These predictions were based on the rosters from the league reports site. I just noticed the trade you made with Boston, so yea, in that division you would probably finish 2nd after the trade. The whole NL Central is pretty bad where 3 or 4 teams have top farm systems...
The NL West is between Fresno and Olympia. It's pretty much 50-50. I give the slight edge to Fresno because they have Texeria, Ichiro, and Edmonds...and a decent pitching staff. Most divisions have 2 or 3 teams that could win the division...the 75 million cap makes it real competitive. There isn't really any great team in either league. There are some really bad teams that are going to suck this year, but will be great in a couple of years.
That doesn't mean we are necessarily bad. We will just be delayed with the wins. I can almost guarentee I have a .500 record next year and compete highly for the division and deep into the post season the next. The teams in the central will most certainly be the best for probably the better part of the next decade...Originally Posted by BravesFan1

I am a proud member of the Anti-Rocksports Alliance.
The amazing CSKA pitching staff will not be enough to salvage my extremely young offense.
68 wins.

If someone deals me a solid leadoff man and a capable arm, I'm taking the N.L. West in the same fashion as the real life padres did. Ooh yeah.

Yes, your division will be real good in a couple of years. But this is "2006 predictions". To say that the NL Central will be good THIS season is not realistic. In a couple years, yes it will be ne of the toughest divisions. With the division so bad, it's possible that 3 teams will have over .500 records this season because they will just beat up on the real shitty teams in your division..
Is Dave Roberts leadoffmanenoughish?

Hm. Not as bad as I thought.
He'd prolly be almost a capable leadoff guy.
