I understand all of your points, and most of them have been debated a lot in the past. As far as Free Agency goes, there will be a bidding period during the offseason for Free Agents. Once that period is over, there will be a ficofise for the rest of the free agents. This is a chance for everybody to sign players that may be useful in the future.

As for your other ideas...please feel free to start a new thread in the forum to discuss them. If the majority of the league likes a certain idea, then I'm open to it. We did attempt some of your ideas such as waivers, rule 5, ect... I stopped that because most of the league seemed to think that it was overkill. If that changes, then I'm willing to reconsider.

Really, I don't want you to change anything, I just wanted to give my opinion on this and nothing more:

I think it will create problems if we continue to assign free agents on ficofise basis. If I would pay $5M for a guy but he signs for 500k because someone else was faster or times his pm better, it's just unfair and unrealistic.
This isnt how normal Free Agency period is done. Any other time its just like real life. Each GM has their own method, my own personal one is to try to grab a few (6-7) guys with MLC cause you never know when you might find someone that will have a good year and you can spin into prospects. But the vast majority of the time (like 85%) they end up sucking and getting cut or leave as FAs end of the year.

Plus we have already taken how long on the stupid draft? This is the fastest way to get this done so be it. Crazy already has a lot of restrictions on his hands theres no reason to keep pilling on more.

If my benchplayer injures himself and I need someone else, I usually sign a bad free agents to help out, now I probably have to make a deal because there is nobody there remotely useful any more.
Its not unrealistic MLB on a daily basis you hear of teams signing guys for cheap to fill rosters and stuff. IF we wait for 30 teams to put lists in we are going to be waiting another month to start simming. And again this isnt how NORMAL free agency is done, youll hear more about that if we can ever get to it .

On a related note, I cannot agree that David Wells can not make an impact on a team. That being said, I don't want Wells to reenter a bidding or something like that.

These are just my two cents, nothing more.
And I promise this is the last time I post this, I just felt that I needed to clarify my position.
If you have to rely on a bunch of these guys to lead your team to the championship youre goign to be waiting a LONG time. None of these guys left will be good for very long with my experience with OOTP. This will be the only time you see anyone above about 37 being anywhere near good. And its very unusual that a 35-36 yr old is above a 3.0. Why do you think Boston couldnt get more for Bonds, Griffey without packaging them with ARod? OOTP will kick their butt soon enough (In all likely hood.).

I think, all GMs would need the game or it would be just to complicated for the GM that don't have OOTP.

the game has not been needed here. Why Lou you making this such an issue? This is how all 3 leagues are ran here.

you got the game great just do what you need to do for entering your lineup in the game or whatever else is needed.

He's not making it an issue. He's offering his opinion on the matter. Stop instigating.

I am in agreement with Lou Brown here on some of his points, the FA period no matter how it was run should have come with more advance notice. Anyone who paid attention during the draft realized we had owners from all different time zones. Its done with & yes we all do want to get on with the season, but more of a heads up would be nice.

Chill Jason...I understand where he's coming from. He just has opinions, nad I want to hear opinions from everybody in the league. If there is something that I can do to help improve the league, then I'm interested in it.

Don't worry though...GMs will never be required to own the game to participate in this league. It is a lot of extra work to run a league this way (just ask Mission), but I'm willing to do it for the benefit of the league. Most leagues do require you to own OOTP. This league will never be run that way.

I actually wanted to make a statement that I was not going to suggest any rule that would put non-owners in any disadvantage, because that would be unfair. I never wanted to suggest that all GMs should buy the game neither. I was arguing for you, not against you.
I guess I just can't express myself cleary.
I buy myself a new english book tomorrow morning.
