Bench
C Quagmire
1B/2B/3B/SS Ries
1B/LF/RF Curbelo
CF/RF Morales
OF Brown (vs. LHP)
LF/RF Lovejoy (vs. RHP)
I fully expect this team to score over 1000, possibly 1100, runs. It's pretty crazy that I have to have Curbelo on the bench, but unless Ramirez retires in-season or there is an injury that's where he'll be. SS is the only weakness in this lineup. I'm hoping Parks can increase that eye close to talent and play solid D. That's all I want unless I can acquire an upgrade.
Pitching
The pitching is unsettled as I'm hoping to make a couple deals before opening day to sort everything out. I've got too many starters. I've already moved Pablo Hernandez back to the pen, but there isn't room for everyone.
Starting Rotation
1. LHP Grove, Jr. (Cy Young winner)
2. RHP Anderton (22-game winner)
3. RHP Yoshimi
4. LHP Campbell
5. RHP Castillo
Mopup
1. RHP Cascio
2. LHP McFinnigan
Middle Reliever
1. RHP Dearmas
2. LHP Hernandez
3. LHP Dimas
4. RHP Cascio
Setup
1. RHP Cambra
2. LHP Hernandez
Closer
1. RHP Miller
Pitching has sorted itself out after ST. Dearmas is first in the rotation if there any injuries or under-performance for a prolonged period of time.
Final Thoughts
This team really let me down against the San Diego Fathers during the playoffs last season after winning a personal sim league record 114 wins for me. Seriously, I was embarrassed by their performance. The pitching wasn't that great in the playoffs, but it doesn't matter when your offense goes Rip Van Winkle on you. I don't expect this team to make the same mistake as last year's team.
