I thought this was a live post because I saw HiG's post edit on its own, I didn't see the White Sox beat me to Cole Hamels....well that kind of blows. I'll see if I can get him on the Sox without too much shuffle. I guess that's what I get for being nice and waiting 20 minutes instead of 10 to post my stuff.

With the amount of important FAs left due to compensation rules... it sure would have been nice to have the beginning of the period 24 hours away... allowing those that get up early and work to at least decide if it is worth it to wake up and get an offer in...

All that said... It is just a game. Not too big a deal. LAD would have offer Hawpe up to 8 million, but wasn't willing to give up our late first rounder.
